It seems to be an incredible contradiction to talk about Coaching in relation to something as natural as our own nature. Does simply being ourselves need such a special investigation?
This is our condition. In a modern society that grows people in the direction of technological progress, satisfaction of material needs, placing external achievement and productivity as the goal of our daily life.
Following automatically this way of living is easy and we can gradually lose touch with our own feelings, the natural rhythm that our body is claiming for. Over time, this disconnection can take us far away from ourselves.
Reconnecting with our unique natural rhythm
This is what I’ve personally experienced. Because of a total devotion to a corporate work that I built for years, I came to reach a point where certain states and behaviours seemed so normal that I was not able to even see them – time passing only at working, travelling for work, stimulating the intellect, mostly restaurant food eaten in a hurry, not enough sleep, lot of coffee, persistent tiredness, difficulty to rest, struggling with intense emotions as anger and frustration or ambition, great pain repeating in the shoulders and the back… These experiences became part of my everyday life, and it has become normal to live that way.
When we begin to recognise these signals, our first response is often to ignore them or put them aside. We tell ourselves that we do not have enough time, that other things are more important, or that we cannot face another issue to deal with.
Yet, each time we postpone listening to ourselves, we move a little further away from our own needs. And our body and mind continue to communicate with us, gently or sometimes more insistently, inviting us to pay attention.
The body saved me when it had brought first a little manifestation of cardiac arrhythmia that shocked me and made me feel guilty. Later, it had brought me a total stop for some days: without energy in my body, unable to move and alone at home, I had no choice to accept that something within me needed attention, time, balance and care, I saw it by myself.
My key towards this was the gift of my life: Ayurveda and Meditation. An experiment and a path that gave to me the reconnection to my natural rhythm.
From this, I know without any doubt that Ayurveda and Meditation Coaching are working very efficiently. They are not theoretical methods but very practical and deep tools for our natural wellbeing.
Ayurveda and Meditation: an invitation to reconnect
Ayurveda is an ancient natural wisdom originating in India and based on the observation of Human, animals, plants, trees, cosmos. A direct and attentive watching. Its name comes from Sanskrit and is commonly translated as the understanding of life – the Life we are, first. It offers a holistic understanding of the innate connection between our body, mind, and environment.
Meditation is both a state of conscious presence and a practice that helps to cultivate it. It invites us to become this observer that Ayurveda talks about, alert the inner and outer experiences, welcoming whatsoever arises with simple awareness and openness.
The unique combination of both tools offers a multidimensional exploration and understanding that can really create a natural rebalancing – it is designed for this, nothing else.
A journey towards your uniqueness
In Ayurveda and Meditation Coaching, each step and each method depends and is tailored for the person involved in it. Because each one of us is born with a unique constitution, we discover that it is much more than just a word.
This approach is not about offering magical universal methods or instant solutions. It is about creating the conditions for a direct and personal encounter with yourself. A process that it is only yours and unfolds through your direct experience, at your own pace.
Imagine having a safe and supportive space where you can explore what is happening in your life, your body and your emotions, and discover what is asking for your presence here and now.
This is at the heart of Ayurveda and Meditation coaching: become aware of whatever is present, without immediately trying to change it, explain it or judge it. By allowing yourself to feel before analysing, you can begin to explore your experience with greater ease and curiosity.
Little by little, you may rediscover a more direct connection with your body and mind, and develop a deeper understanding of your own needs.
From awareness to everyday practice
As this awareness develops, you may feel quickly drawn to explore different ways of caring for yourself.
From there, practical changes can be invited in your daily life experience.
Ayurveda mostly focuses on the physical body and offers for example: Dinacharya with which you can create a daily rhythm and timings that better support your well-being; adjustments of your eating habits to support Agni, digestive fire; self-massage techniques as Padabhyangam to ground and nourish your energy; Yoga as a soft yet efficient physical therapeutic movement to work on a specific area of the body; Pranayama, conscious breathwork to settle the nervous system; Dravyaguna to know which kind of plant can be included in an herbal tea to drink for a certain period of time.
Meditation gives many opportunities and ways to get in touch with the mind, including thoughts, emotions and life patterns repeating: not just sitting still and silent but also using actively the body, the laughter, the tears, the voice, the painting, the breath, the awareness in the middle of the everyday life activities.
The role of the coach is to support you in this discovery, offering guidance and drawing on the resources of Ayurveda and Meditation whenever they are relevant to your journey, your questions, your needs and what you are ready to explore.
The intention is not to become someone else or to follow an ideal way of living. It is to find what feels genuinely supportive and meaningful for you… to live and enjoy the life you are.
